The thermal sea breeze near the coast during the day is comparatively more distinctive in the north of the Tyrrhenian Sea than in the south.

Within the five nature reserves there are special navigational indications to be considered, but they are definitely worth a detour: Secche the Paterno Gate, the Sorrento Peninsula, Ventotene, Gaiola and Baia.
