In the following chapter, we would like to give you a good overview of the Cyclades charter paradise and introduce you to the most important islands and their highlights:
Santorini Island: this volcanic island enclosed by the Aegean offers its visitors a mystical and impressive scenery. If you are traveling in the Cyclades with a luxury sailing yacht, we recommend you to plan a vacation of two weeks. Otherwise, you can expect to pass long routes to be able to manage the distance between Athens and Santorini Island in one week. Once in Santorini, a visit to the traditional towns of Fira and Oia is worthwhile, where you can also experience an extraordinary sunset. If you are interested in a short hike, the volcano Nea Kameni, which forms an impressive backdrop with its red and black rock formations, is ideal. If you are a passionate diver, you should dive into the depths at Santorini. We also recommend you a trip to Cape Tripiti in Thirassia! Other underwater highlights include the ship wreck at Taxiarchis, the Adiavatis reef and the caves at Mesa Pigadia.
Mykonos Island: the cosmopolitan Mykonos is the favorite island of many international jet-setters and offers not only a spectacular nightlife but also wonderful natural rarities, you will surely discover your perfect dream beach! The beaches Paradise, Super Paradise, Elia and Psarou are among the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world! Another attraction is Little Venice, a small town whose houses date back to the 18th century and whose foundations were partly built into the sea. Nowadays you can find nice little restaurants and cafes in these houses on the city promenade. Another highlight are the Mykonos windmills, which you can perceive already from Little Venice. These are wonderfully illuminated at night. Finally, a visit to the Armenistis lighthouse in the northwest of the island would be worth seeing. This dates back to 1891 and is one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the Cyclades.
