Another highlight are the Krka waterfalls, which you should not miss on your luxury charter. If you are planning a day trip with your luxury yacht to Krka National Park, it is best to moor your yacht in the town of Skradin. Skradin is a small town worth seeing, with narrow cobbled streets and a pretty old town which can look back on 2000 years of history and is also worth a short visit. The national park Krka (best accessibility from the ACI Marina Skradin) covers the largest part of the river flow of Krka. Both natural and cultural-historical sites can be discovered here.
A Franciscan monastery, situated on a beautiful small island in the middle of a lake formed by the river, or the Orthodox monastery of Krka, situated in a canyon on the upper course, is well worth a visit. The biggest attraction of the Krka National Park, however, is an ensemble of seven waterfalls that offers a breath-taking scenery.
If you are tempted by the open sea and you have crossed the Šibenik Canal of St. Anthony, you will discover impressive Venetian defence systems of the 16th and 17th centuries, which still today support the entrance to Šibenik.
The Šibenik fortress of Sv. Nikola, built in the 16th century to defend Šibenik against the Ottoman fleet, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The nearest island in the Šibenik archipelago is Zlarin, which is mainly known as a gold and coral island. On this island you can also buy handmade coral jewellery in one of the coral workshops. The untouched nature, dense pine forests, various beaches and hidden bays will inspire you on this island as well. Nautical tourists will find good anchorages and can also moor or anchor in the naturally protected port of Zlarin (Marina Zlarin) (depending on the draught).
