The countless bays of the many islands protected as national parks are a unique experience for sailors and nautical enthusiasts. Even divers will find an untouched paradise here. The partly very steep cliffs, which can fall off as well over the water as under the water some 100 meters, impress every visitor and diver.
You will find a wide variety of beach formations here, from pebble beaches to sandy beaches.
The Kornati archipelago is named after the largest island "Otok Kornat". Numerous archaeological finds prove that there were already human settlements on the Kornati islands in prehistoric times. Today the Kornati islands are private property, mostly of the locals of Murter.
